SimSpace Taking a brand forward with web development

SimSpace helps elite security teams attain cyber readiness and resilience by emulating real environments and attacks with training, testing, and validation tools. They have long been respected in their space, given their innovative roots from US Cyber Command and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Recently, they partnered with Mechanica for branding, and then Imarc to project that new brand across their WordPress website.

SimSpace's goals for the new website were to :

1. Effectively showcase the new brand.
2. Speak to government contracts and private sector audiences equally.
3. Dispel the myth that a non-government client doesn't need the military-grade technology offered by SimSpace.
4. Increase the recruitment pipeline by leveraging employee voices and their reputation for being best-in-class.

SimSpace needed to transform their website (homepage, industry pages, platform solution pages, and company story page) into a high-impact experience that directly addresses customers' business needs. Their platform is uniquely advanced, so they also sought strategic aid to show how their platform differs from other, less sophisticated ones in the market.

First, our strategists and UX team collaborated with SimSpace to explore and define key personas so that our content team could infuse the necessary content into the framework and activities that were underway. Then we built the journey, mapped the needed content, and provided sample copy, championing differentiators like emulation over simulation.

Visually, we created an edgier style, exemplified by the layered isometric designs that carry the angles of the logo through the image framing on the site. The flawless diamond shapes look superb, but ensuring they functioned across devices and browsers took extra care from the front-end engineering team.

After just six weeks of work, SimSpace's reskinned site launched on November 9, and it has already made major waves.
